However, in his new collection, he dedicates his book to the kid who needed to hear these words.

Set in Cleveland, this novel tells a story containing many themes. When Matty’s beautiful mother passes away from cancer, he is forced to navigate both the city and his own coming of age all by himself. We follow him and his partner Jack through the progression of their own friendship along with the experiences that both of them live through.
